Prague spring as a flute competition

In the thesis there are general information about the Prague Spring, the International Music Competition focusing on flute years, their compositions, members of jury, Czech and Slovak competitors and winners. The thesis also deals with information about the International Music Festival or historical and political situation in Czechoslovakia. The first capture involves an issue of the Prague Spring conception as a social and political cause, as an international music festival and international music competition. Each of these categories is particularly specified. The second - main - chapter contains detailed information about the International Music Competition focusing on flute. This part specifies all the years of flute competitions, every year is described in detail including selection and number of compositions, a number of competitors, participation of Czech flute players and famous jury members with their biography.
Changes of Chopin's International piano competition in Warsaw

The aim of this thesis was the representation of history, development and present form of the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Introduction of this work deals with the concept of Chopin tradition and areas that are affected by the composer's creation. The main part is focused on origin of this competition and its founder, companies that hold this event and development from the first year up to the present. Attention is paid to the dates of the individual years, the number of participants, countries from which they arrived, the jury composition and the prices which were awarded. For each year is also given programme of each round, which had to be presented by the competitors. Conclusion of this thesis deals with the Czech track in the competition and detailed results, which were achieved by the Czech pianists. The Annex contains the complete results of all years and the samples of promotional materials from the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
Music Competitions as the Inspirational and Development Element of the Twentieth Century Interpretation

In this dissertation thesis I focus on the overview of some outstanding international clarinet competitions, their repertory, and compositions written to order for the given competition. The itemization of compositions I enriched by the characteristics and analysis of some compositions focused on the difficulty and appearance of contemporary clarinet techniques. Last but not last, I write about the establishment, history, and point of each competition and their contribution to young talented musicians.
Ard international cello competition

Master theses of Jan Zvěřina titled " ARD International Cello Competition - History and Winners " is devoted to this prestigious competition describing for example it´s history, currentrules and prices. In addition, by form of a semi-structured interview this theses intermediates experiences and memories of three winners of such competition, namely Wolfgang Boettcher, Michal Kaňka and Julia Steckel. It is the aim of such interviews to determine whether there is any interconnection in theirv individual successes. For this reason, the interviews focus mainly on the preperation of cellists before actual competition, but they bring also experiences from the actual competition and answer the question what ARD competition brought these winners.
Barocco Sempre Giovane

The diploma thesis discusses chamber ensemble from Pardubice, Barocco sempre giovane. It includes the history of ensemble, discography and abroad tours, permanent members and the founder and art manager of the ensemble Josef Krečmer, significant soloists and the other czech ensembles with the similar specialization. A special chapters deals with important festivals and musical courses which are closely connected with the ensemble. Even the repertory of the ensemble with the authentic interpretation is not missing.
International trombone Competitions

In my diploma thesis I give an overview and information about the international trombone competitions. First chapter is reserved for European competitions. There are mentioned some facts like time intervals after which are the competitions repeated, time periods and locations of performance, entrance conditions and information about the organisers. Second chapter is organised in the same way and includes the competitions outside Europe. In the third chapter are implemented brief biographies of the current most sought-after jurors of the interpretative competitions.
Survey of International Organ Music Competitions

This bachelor thesis tries to describe international organ competitions, to map them and compare them. Special attention is given to successful Czech candidates and participation of the Czech judges in abroad. The aim is to summarize clearly the frequency of organ competitions in individual years and individual states.
